Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies, what is stored on your device, and the choices available to you.
Draft last updated: 26 October 2026
Draft for review. Fee wording is TBC pending approval; any other outstanding confirmations are marked below. This draft is not a final approved policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage. UK cookie rules also apply to these technologies, not just cookies.
This policy relates to the BREACH REDRESS legal aid data breach portal. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Essential storage
Essential storage supports security, sign-in and the services you request. Where you sign in, the application uses browser storage to maintain your session, including the base44_access_token local-storage entry. Authentication storage may remain until you sign out, it expires, or you remove it through your browser settings.
Essential hosting and security cookies may also be used by the hosting platform. TBC — the full published-site cookie and browser-storage inventory, provider names and retention periods must be confirmed before this policy is finalised.
Analytics
TBC — confirm any hosting-platform analytics, identifiers, purposes, consent requirements and retention periods in the published-site inventory. Any non-essential analytics must be assessed and, where required, remain off until valid consent is obtained.
Advertising and campaign measurement
TBC — if advertising or referral measurement is introduced, this policy must identify the providers, information collected, storage duration and method for giving and withdrawing consent before that measurement starts.
Claim forms and signing tools
Information entered into the current claim form and practice-signing journey is held in the page while you complete it. Uploading a proof document stores the file separately, even before the final enquiry is submitted. Submitted enquiry details, signature evidence and practice documents are stored as described in our Privacy Policy.
Clearing cookies does not delete information already uploaded or submitted to us.
Your choices
You can manage or clear cookies, local storage and session storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other requested services from working. Clearing authentication storage may sign you out.
TBC — a consent-settings control will be required if optional technologies requiring consent are enabled. This draft does not represent that such a control is currently available.
Private browsing does not guarantee that your visit is hidden from someone with access to your device or network. To request deletion of information already submitted, see the rights and contact information in our Privacy Policy.
Hosting and external websites
The website is hosted using Base44. Essential hosting and security processing may take place independently of optional campaign measurement. A browser-storage inventory of the published site should be maintained and reviewed by the website owner.
External websites have their own privacy and cookie policies. Your browser choices here do not control those websites.
Contact and policy changes
For questions about cookies or your data, please use our Contact page. Operator details remain pending confirmation in our draft Privacy Policy.
We will update this policy when the technologies or purposes used by this website change.
